Joatmon Creations is a hobby business for handcrafted items that are created using a variety of mediums. Customization and personalization is always available to make your creation just what you want and need. Home > About JMC > About Me JOATMON: Jack of All Trades, Master of None Joatmon Creations features handcrafted items that are created using a variety of mediums. It began after I had been sewing gifts for a number of years, but in 2004 I had an idea for a purse, so I created my own template and played around with some fun fabrics and style ideas. Suddenly I found myself accumulating more and more fabrics and getting special requests to make bags for family and friends. Eventually my love of textiles spilled over into other mediums, such as ribbons and paper. Each time I work on a particular project, it seems to be a gateway into other completely unrelated creations. This is where my business name came from - Joatmon is the acronym for Jack of All Trades, Master of None! All it takes is one person to say "hey, can you make something like this....." and a new product line is born! I always need to give it a try and see what I can come up with. When I am not in my craft studio or at my job as a Project Coordinator for a medical device manufacturer, you can find me spending time with my husband and son. I also love watching movies, binging tv shows , doing puzzles (jigsaw and logic), hiking, camping, reading, cooking, and baking. What I'm Reading Several years ago I began the Reading Challenge hosted by Goodreads and sometimes I surprised myself with how many books I had read by December. Some years I didn't do as well...especially last year. I am hoping that 2021 allows me a little extra time to settle down with a good book, especially at bedtime. Currently I am reading two career related books for groups I am involved in at work. I expect to be joining a third book club at the office soon, so I am excited to start their selection, The Savvy Ally. For leisure books, I do enjoy a good suspense thriller. I also like books set in quaint towns, almost like a Hallmark movie on paper, but I tend to get tired of reading too many romance novels in a row. Ben & Jerry's Knock-off Orange Cream Dream Ice Cream approx 40 minutes makes a generous quart Introduction This is our favorite homemade ice cream so far. It really tastes like one of my favorite treats, an orange and vanilla creamsicle. I don't know why, but I was expecting it to be more orange in color, however the small ratio of orange juice concentrate to cream base caused it to look more like a vanilla ice cream. The recipe was passed along to me as a Ben and Jerry's flavor, but I added knock-off to the title, because who knows how close this really is to their recipe. Plus, I tweaked it a bit by adding some fresh orange juice and using a base that did not call for eggs. I just can't bring myself to use eggs in my ice cream yet. Ingredients Pour the cream into a mixing bowl. Whisk in the sugar, a little at a time, then continue whisking until completely blended, about 1 minute more. Pour in the half-and-half and whisk to blend. Add the juice concentrate and vanilla extract and blend. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze following the manufacturing’s instructions. 2 cups heavy or whipping cream 3/4 cup sugar 2/3 cup half-and-half 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed 1/4 cup fresh orange juice (optional) Steps Back to recipes

Beer Dip approx 10 minutes Introduction Delicious, easy to make, creamy dip that is a hit at every cookout. Ingredients In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, beer and dressing mix (easiest with a hand mixer or immersion blender) until smooth. Add cheese and continue to mix until blended. Refrigerate until serving.
